Formatting the Essay
So now you're finally to the meat and potatoes of your completed paper. It is important to remember that your header will continue from the outline (if you were asked to include one). If that is the case, your page number for the essay will begin with either 2 or 3, depending on the type of outline. Remember! Your title page does not get a header. Make sure that the header is actually in the header of your document - you will have to go to insert>header
If you included a title page:
The first line of text will be your title. This is centered and capitalized appropriately. The next (double spaced) line begins your paper.
If you did NOT include a title page (this is the typical way instructors ask for a paper):
Justified left and double spaced, include the following information--
Full name
Instructor name
Course title
Date (day Month year)
